Visiting Ledgewood Farm

We encourage our buyers (particularly those who are new to shepherding) to arrange a farm visit, so that they can check out our setup, meet and greet the flock in person and get a feel for our management style before they bring their sheep home. Summer and fall are typically the best times to visit, although arrangements may be made for Spring and Winter visits as well. If you’re also hoping to learn a practical sheep skill such as hoof trimming, administering injections or oral drench let us know, and we may be able to arrange a hands on tutorial.

On Farm Events

Starting in 2010 we will be offering sheep care clinics for a more in depth introduction to handling and raising sheep. We will also be hosting our first annual Mother’s Day Open House on Mother’s Day, 2010. Please check out our Shows and Events page for dates and details on our open house and clinics.

Please Call in Advance

Ledgewood Farm is also a private residence, and due to my busy and variable schedule I cannot guarantee that I’ll be around or available for people who just pop in on a whim! Please call or email in advance to schedule a time that is convenient for everyone. Here are Directions to the farm.

No Dogs

Please do not plan on bringing your dog unless weather and time permit that it may remain comfortably in your car for the duration of your stay.
